凡（およそ）雷鳴地震（らいめいぢしん）は。時候（じこう）の不順（ふじゆん）より発（おこ）りて。
陰陽（いんやう）の《振り仮名：怒気｜とき》たり。其（その）発（おこ）るや。正（まさ）しく人の
行（おこな）ひ善（ぜん）ならずして邪気（じやき）多（おほ）く。薄情（はくじやう）にし
て和合（わごう）せざるが故（ゆへ）に。陰陽（いんやう）また和合（わがう）

そもそも雷鳴や地震というものは、季節・気候の乱れから生じて、
陰陽の怒気（怒りの気）が発するものである。それが起こるのは、まさしく人々の
行いが善くなく、邪気が多く、薄情にして
互いに和合しないがゆえに、陰陽もまた和合

In general, thunder and earthquakes arise from the disorder of the seasons and climate,
and represent the furious energy (*toki*) of Yin and Yang. The reason they occur is precisely because people's
conduct is not virtuous, evil influences abound, and people are cold-hearted and
fail to live in harmony with one another. Because of this, Yin and Yang also fail to harmonize,
falling into disorder and bringing down calamity. This is Heaven's [warning]...
