頃寛永三年戌年二月五日朝四つ時頃、麹町五丁目あたりより出火し、折しも北風が激しく、同所一丁目にて北側表口三十間ばかり、南側十間あまり残る。それより南に至る。このあたりでは二番組八番組、本所深川組にて防ぎ消す。西の方、山元町、平川三ヶ町焼ける。湯島亀有町代地は少し残り、同続き木挽町替地焼ける。平川天神の御宮は障りなく、門前の町家残らず焼ける。その続き湯島三組町拝領屋敷、その外このあたり多数焼ける。同続き坂にて御代官里見源左衛門旗本無事。このあたりは五番組にて消し止める。それより東の方、三枝宗、永井鉄弥様、島津伊予守様、武内様、内藤四郎様、石丸権六郎様、谷帯刀様、菅谷兵庫様。それより俗に言う三軒屋、麹町谷町、柴田日向守様より南の方、大村丹後守様、高木倉之介様、安部又四郎様、高木清三郎様、戸田右近様。それより駒井小路にて小田切出雲守様は表門長家残る。このあたりは二番五番組、尾州様御人数にて防ぎ消す。同所東の方に至り、鳥居丹波守様中屋敷表門は松平出羽守様御人数消し止める。松平豊前守様残る。松岡文蔵様。それより永田町に出て、岡野大学様、細川豊前守様、夏目左近様、松平大膳之介様、大岡左太郎様まで焼けて、安部虎之介様残り、勝田左京様、後藤兵部様。それより山王門前町家残らず焼け、御宮は障りなし。同所丹羽左京大夫様、京極備中守様、内藤紀伊守様は表門焼け、御玄関より外は皆障りなし。同続きにて内藤数之丞様、同北の方松平秋野守様中屋敷、本多豊後守様、内藤紀伊守様中屋敷、松平玄蕃様中屋敷、左野日向守様、鳥居権之進様、保科永次郎様、松平鉄之丞様、林式部少輔様等類焼す。また一口は麹町一丁目より隼、このあたりにて御旗本御医師等多数類焼。それより御堀端、京極様、火消神保三千次郎様、松平兵部大輔様は御堀の方長家残り。これより西の方御旗本御屋敷多数焼ける。それより桜田の方に出て、三宅土佐守様、井伊掃部頭様焼け、東側少し残る。向かいにて松平安芸守様は少し焼けて格別余計なく、霞ヶ関に至り松平美濃守様表門残る。この所は深川組大いに働き、丁寧に防いだとのこと。北長家は六番組と松平大隅守様、藤堂和泉守様、吉川監物様等の火役御助勢有りて消し止める。同西の方、九鬼長門守様、徳永伊予守様、丹羽左京大夫様中屋敷、九鬼長門守様中屋敷、杉浦八九郎様、中川様、神尾庵様、岩本大隅守様。それより笹曳ヶに出て御旗本残らず焼け、裏霞の通りにて小出豊次郎様、高木主水正様、松平伯耆守様、村瀬平四郎様、内藤能登守様まで焼ける。この所までは御堀限り焼けて風替わりて、御門内向かいは三浦様、西尾様等残り、御門外へ飛び火にて御勘定所、京極長門守様類焼し、向かい御用屋敷残る。それより新橋の通りにて木下主計頭様、稲葉富太郎様、仁賀保力之介、一柳土佐守様焼け、林百介様残る。土方備中守様、毛利安房守様、備前町鍛冶町、堀田豊前守様、和泉町伏見町は残る。一柳兵部様、松平兵部様残る。阿部様中屋敷と小堀大膳様は表側のみ残る。また一口は金毘羅様より谷主計様、相良志摩守様焼けて、野瀬宗右衛門様残り、この辺御旗本多く焼ける。青山様中屋敷、竹中図書様共残り、東側御旗本皆焼ける。加藤備中守様、松平丹波守様中屋敷、曲渕甲斐守様、田村小路田村様中屋敷、松平三郎左衛門様、松平小十郎様、小出介四郎、細川豊前守様中屋敷、土岐信濃守様、井上新左衛門様、大島肥後様左京様、松平平次兵衛、大沢様、稲葉様、有馬夢一様、仁賀保様、堀田様中屋敷、川勝様、田村左京大夫様、秋田阿波守様、米津越中守様、井上遠江守様まで焼け、大久保鉄之丞様にて消し止める。仙台中屋敷、植村様中屋敷、平野権平様、仁木様、井上様、柳生但馬守様、有馬日向守様。それより芝井町、神明町、宇田川町、新銭座と松平肥後守様残る。また一口は朽木周防守様、この辺御屋敷多く焼け、下谷町車坂町残り、天徳寺愛宕山このあたり寺々焼け、牧野様中屋敷、片桐助作様、松平隠岐守様、田村伊予守様、長谷川為三郎様、池田様、本多様。それより神津様焼け、関但馬様残る。大久保加賀守様、戸田様中屋敷、藤掛出羽守様より裏表共門残り、東側寺は南まで焼ける。それより片門前、中門前六ヶ町、松町、丹羽様少し焼け、戸田采女様残る。金杉浜側まで寺院共に焼ける。金杉四丁目少し残る。松平因幡守様焼け、間部下総守中屋敷にて火止まる。

この所、芝四丁目まで両側の町家類焼して、東の多くは浜側まで焼ける。もっとも図面所々の不一致有りて、聊か違うことあらん。見る人許したまえ。

Around the third year of Kan'ei (1626), year of the dog, on the morning of February 5th at the fourth hour, a fire broke out from around Kojimachi 5-chome. The north wind was fierce at the time, and at 1-chome of the same area, about thirty ken of the north side frontage remained, with over ten ken remaining on the south side. From there it went south. In this area, the 2nd and 8th fire brigades, along with the Honjo-Fukagawa brigade, fought and extinguished it. To the west, Yamamoto-cho and three districts of Hirakawa burned. In Yushima Kamari-cho substitute land, a little remained, and the adjacent Kobiki-cho substitute land burned. Another area from Kojimachi 1-chome to Hayabusa - in this area many hatamoto physicians and others were consumed by fire. From there, along the moat, Kyōgoku-sama, fire chief Jinbo Sanzenjirō-sama, and Matsudaira Hyōbu-dayū-sama's moat-side row houses remained. West of here, many hatamoto residences burned. From there, going toward Sakurada, Miyake Tosa-no-kami-sama and Ii Kamon-no-kami-sama burned, with a little remaining on the east side.
