大火に関して
幕府より　この度数万の人々へ
救済小屋を建設していただき、路頭に迷うこともなく
雨露をしのぐことができ、その上各々に
お金を下されたことは実に
尊く有り難い
仁政のほどを申し上げるのも恐れ
多いことながら、万民が喜び
万歳を歌ったのである

Regarding the Great Fire
From the Shogunate - For the tens of thousands of people
relief shelters have been erected, so they need not wander the streets
and can shelter from rain and dew, and furthermore each person
has been given money, which is truly
noble and grateful
Such benevolent governance is so overwhelming to speak of
that while it may seem presumptuous, all the people rejoiced
and sang "Banzai!"

Relief shelters have been erected in various locations by the Shogunate
We are most grateful for this arrangement. Furthermore, from various districts
to the Ryōgoku Sakumachō relief shelter, the names of those providing charity:
