一 此甚七与申者的場村出生ニ而慥成者ニ御座候ニ付
今般貴殿御借家借請我等人請ニ相立差置候
処相違無御座候然ル上者

店請状一札之事
一、この甚七と申す者は的場村生まれであり、確かな人物でございますので、このたび貴殿の貸家をお借りするにあたり、私どもが身元保証人として立たせていただきます。この点に相違はございません。そうである以上は、幕府様の法度は申すまでもなく、諸事堅く守らせるつもりでございます。万一この者について何らかの問題が生じましても、私どもがお引き受けいたし、貴殿方にはいささかもご迷惑をおかけいたしません。後日の身元保証の証文として、よって書面の通りでございます。

Should any problems arise concerning this person, we shall take full responsibility and will not cause you any trouble whatsoever. This serves as a guarantee document for future reference, written as stated herein.
