現代語訳
当時、大通の大磯屋惣六が仲人となって、虎と祐成は例年の通り夫婦になった。しかし弟の時宗と小次郎はまだ修行も済まないので、兄弟揃って寝間に忍び入っての仇討ちはできない。それは後編でご覧に入れる予定なので、今回の礼儀として、この春は終わりとする。

At that time, with Soroku of Oiso-ya serving as go-between, Tora and Sukeshige became husband and wife as was customary. However, since his younger brothers Tokimune and Kojiro had not yet completed their training, they could not carry out their revenge by sneaking into their enemy's bedchamber together as brothers. That will be shown in the sequel, so as a matter of courtesy, this spring story ends here.
