商に十の次に二立さて下方の十を三ざうばいに卅とおき一位さげて又法に
て下方の卅に商のは十をよぶ一三の卅とつにをき又此卅の次にゐて
下方の卅に商の二をよぶ二三の六と置又法の卅より一十とかぞへ上
りて法の卅に商の二ばかりをよぶ二三の六百と置又法の六より一寸と
のぼりて法の六に商の二をよぶ二六百廿とおくとき七百卅になるこれ
を実にて引のこる〽八坪あり是を角に引まづ法にて商の二を
法にも二と置扨法の二に商の二をかくれば二二の四と法に置又是に商
の二を二度かくれば二百の八坪となるこれを実にて引はらひし

現代語訳
商の十の次に二を立て、下方の十を三倍して三十と置き、一位下げる。また法にて下方の三十に商の十を呼ぶ。一×三の三十と置く。またこの三十の次において下方の三十に商の二を呼ぶ。二×三の六と置く。また法の三十より一十と数え上がって法の三十に商の二ばかりを呼ぶ。二×三の六十と置く。また法の六より一つと昇って法の六に商の二を呼ぶ。二×六の十二と置くとき七百三十になる。これを実数にて引くと残り八坪あり。これを開立するため、まず法にて商の二を法にも二と置く。さて法の二に商の二を掛けると二×二の四と法に置く。またこれに商の二を二度掛けると二×四の八坪となる。これを実数にて引き払えばよい。よくよく工夫すべきである。

Count up from the 30 in the divisor by 10, then multiply the 30 in the divisor by only the 2 in the quotient. Place 2×3=60. Count up from the 6 in the divisor by 1, then multiply the 6 in the divisor by the 2 in the quotient. When you place 2×6=12, it becomes 730. When you subtract this from the actual number, there remain 8 tsubo. To find the cube root of this, first place 2 in both the quotient and divisor. When you multiply the 2 in the divisor by the 2 in the quotient, place 2×2=4 in the divisor. When you multiply this by the 2 in the quotient twice more, it becomes 2×4=8 tsubo. Subtract this from the actual number and you're done. This requires careful consideration.
