引越被申筈之由従江戸表注進同廿二日京都江申来候
ニ付此上ハ何之心障も無之時節ニ罷成候間兼而之一決弥
相催シ候相談堅ク申合私儀八月二日京都罷立同十日ニ
江戸着何れも申談候右一巻初中終委細得御意度候へ共
殊之外入組たる分共ニ御座候間不能其儀候乍併佐藤条右衛門
義初中終之儀淵底ニ存知罷在候ニ付而此一紙頼置申候拙者
亡命已後河村忠右衛門殿迄相届可申候右一巻以後ハ態絶
書？候此度為御暇乞如此御座候恐惶謹言

現代語訳

引越しを申し付けられる筈との由、江戸表より注進があり、同二十二日に京都へ申し来たため、
この上は何の心障りもない時節となりましたので、かねてからの一決をいよいよ
催促する相談を堅く申し合わせ、私は八月二日に京都を罷り立ち、同十日に
江戸に着き、皆で申し談じました。右の一巻、初めから中程、終わりまで委細をお聞かせいたしたく存じますが、
殊の外入り組んだ分がございますので、その義叶いません。しかしながら佐藤条右衛門
殿は初めから終わりまでの儀を詳しく存じ上げておりますので、この一紙をお頼み申し上げます。拙者が
亡命した後は、河村忠右衛門殿まで相届けください。右の一巻以後は態と絶筆
いたします。この度はお暇乞いのため、このようでございます。恐れ謹んで申し上げます。

Word came from Edo that he was to be relocated, and this news arrived in Kyoto on the same 22nd day, so
now there were no longer any obstacles, and the time had come. We firmly agreed to press forward with our long-planned
decisive action. I departed Kyoto on August 2nd and arrived in
Edo on the 10th of the same month, where we all held discussions. I would like to inform you of the details of this entire matter from beginning to end,
but as it involves extremely complicated circumstances, I cannot do so. However, since Sato Jozaemon
knows the complete details from beginning to end, I entrust this single sheet to him. After I go into
exile, please deliver word to Kawamura Chuemon. After this account, I deliberately cease
writing. This time, this serves as my farewell. I humbly and respectfully state this.
