その後、徳兵衛も親類内から女房を迎え、そのついでにまた隠居へ願い出て、幸介にも世話をしてお菊を嫁がせ、両家ともに繁盛が日に日に増し、徳兵衛夫婦は隠居、徳右衛門夫婦へ孝行を尽くし、めでたく春を迎え、にぎやかに栄えた。このめでたいついでに、つまらない二人の伊勢物語の評判も、ただ「よいよい」とご贔屓をお願い申し上げ候。

After that, Tokubei also took a wife from among his relatives, and on that occasion, again petitioned the retired master to arrange for Kōsuke as well, having Okiku married to him. Both households prospered more each day. The Tokubei couple showed filial devotion to the retired master and Tokuemon couple, welcomed the spring auspiciously, and flourished prosperously. On this happy occasion, we humbly request your continued favor for this trivial tale of these two men's Ise monogatari, saying only "good, good."
