習うよう仰せ付けられた件
一、天明元年丑年二月、亡父の御扶持の内から一石を減らされ、四石五斗二人扶持を下し置かれ、御普請方の浮人に召し抱えられた。
ただし同日、公事所書物当座の御雇いとして勤め、もっとも当用をも見習うよう仰せ付けられた件
一、同三年卯年十二月、公事所物書定の御雇いを仰せ付けられた件
一、同五年巳年二月、公事所物書を仰せ付けられ、四石五斗の御役料を下し置かれた件
一、同六年午年三月、一昨年中より引き継いだ御穿鑿六十口余りがあったが、去年中に四十口余りの帳面を完成させ、出精したため、御褒美として金一分を下し置かれた件
一、同七年未年十二月、去る春中より穿鑿九十口余りを完了したことについては、出精・骨折したため、御褒美として金一両（一分）を下し置かれた件

Regarding being ordered to learn [his duties]
1. In the 2nd month of Tenmei 1 (1781), year of the Ox, one koku was reduced from his deceased father's stipend, and he was granted 4 koku 5 to and provisions for 2 people, and was employed as a temporary worker in the Construction Office.
However, on the same day, he was employed temporarily at the Legal Affairs Office document section and was ordered to learn current duties as well.
1. In the 12th month of Tenmei 3 (1783), year of the Rabbit, he was appointed as a regular employed scribe at the Legal Affairs Office.
1. In the 2nd month of Tenmei 5 (1785), year of the Snake, he was appointed as a scribe at the Legal Affairs Office and granted 4 koku 5 to as official salary.
1. In the 3rd month of Tenmei 6 (1786), year of the Horse, there were over 60 cases of investigation carried over from two years prior, and he completed the records for over 40 cases during the previous year with diligence, so he was granted 1 bu of gold as a reward.
1. In the 12th month of Tenmei 7 (1787), year of the Sheep, he completed over 90 investigations since the previous spring, and for his diligence and hard work, he was granted 1 ryō (1 bu) of gold as a reward.
1. In the 3rd month of Kansei 2 (1790), year of the Dog, he completed over 80 investigations from two years prior, and for his diligence and hard work, he was granted 5 ryō of silver as a reward.
