若狭守（直明）様も御登城なされたところ（昨五日に御切紙が御到来）、御黒書院の
御廊下にて御老中並びに御側御用人牧野備後守（成貞）殿が列座し、
上意の趣を大久保加賀守（忠朝）殿が御達しになった。

and Lord Wakasa-no-kami (Naoaki) also ascended to the castle (a written order arrived yesterday on the 5th). In the corridor of the Black Audience Chamber, the senior councilors and chamberlain Makino Bingo-no-kami (Narisada) were seated in attendance,
and Ōkubo Kaga-no-kami (Tadatomo) conveyed the shogun's will.
