　　　　　御耳候處別而　御喜悦被成　思召候此節之

　　　　　間敷候乍去札破捨被　仰付候儀御勝手迄
　　　　　ニ而ハ何共難被遊候間去物成残米札銀御蔵ニ

　　　　但諸町人江右願之通被　仰付候ニ付在方之者共江も
　　　　　応分限銀札差上候様被　仰出之
一　同月十六日銀札不残破捨被　仰出候ニ付御勘定所ゟ

すぐに御耳に達したところ、別けて御喜悦をお思いになられた。この時節の
　　　　　ことであれば皆迷惑をかけることになるので、（寸志は）お受け取りに
　　　　　ならないはずである。しかしながら札破捨を仰せ付けられる件は御勝手（藩財政）だけ
　　　　　では何ともし難いので、去年分の残り米や札銀が御蔵に
　　　　　納められているので、その内千石以上は二歩通り、九百石
　　　　　以下は一歩二厘、右の通りまず残しておいて札破捨を
　　　　　仰せ付けることになる。その分は速やかに渡すことになるだろう
　　　　　　　ただし御切米御扶持方の面々へは御借用にならない

　　　　　　　呼び出して申し渡した

一　六月十三日　右同様により銀札を残らず破捨するよう仰せ付けられるならば、
　　諸町人共から分限に応じて少分ずつでも指上げ申したい旨、先だって
　　願い出ていたことにつき、今日その願いの通り差上げるよう仰せ出された
　　　　ただし諸町人へ右の願いの通り仰せ付けられたことにより、在方の者共へも
　　　　分限に応じて銀札を差上げるよう仰せ出された
一　同月十六日　銀札を残らず破捨するよう仰せ出されたことにつき御勘定所から

This immediately reached His Lordship's ears, and he was particularly pleased. Given the circumstances of this time, it would cause everyone hardship, so he would not accept (their offerings). However, regarding the order to destroy the paper money, this cannot be managed by domain finances alone, so since there are remaining rice from last year and paper money stored in the domain treasury, of that amount, those with stipends of 1,000 koku or more at a rate of 2 bu, and those with 900 koku or less at 1 bu 2 rin - keeping this amount aside first, the paper money destruction will be ordered. That portion will be distributed promptly.
