御門当番の御先筒頭へ――御意（お言葉）は直接ご下命にはならないが、お見通しの箇所であることから、切手御門の通行当番の名前を書き記して提出するよう、今後はそのように心得るべき旨を、宇都宮弥三郎から奈良太郎右衛門へ申し聞かせた。
十月十日
一、十一月二十四日、別紙の通り仰せ出されたので、それぞれ申し通すべき旨を渡辺十郎左衛門が申し聞かせたので、それぞれ取り扱うこととした。
一、寛政三年（亥年）三月三日、七人番所御門・山里御門・二之丸木戸御門をご通行になられた際、これらの御門の外側になることから、表方のお供は御庭口外の木戸御門の外へ回るよう仰せ付けられていたが、
この度より以前の通り御庭内となったので、そのように心得て、それぞれに申し通すこと。
右の趣旨を、新番・今川吉兵衛、厚治金平、御見役・中沢甚兵衛、御小人支配・伴甚五左衛門、以上の面々を招いて申し渡した。また組頭・割月番・小頭を呼んで申し渡した。
手紙をもって申し達する。さて、去る亥年に仰せ付けられた御座所・御裏御庭口外木戸御門番について、御先筒組の者は以後差し止めとなった。これにより、奥山里御門番は以前の通り御先筒の者に仰せ付けられたので、明二十五日の朝、御杉形の者と引き替えて勤めるよう、それぞれ申し付けられるべきである。以上。

Regarding the Gate Duty Officer (御先筒頭) of the Guard Gate: Although no direct orders were given verbally, since this is a location under direct observation, it is henceforth to be understood that the names of the duty officers for the Kitte-gomon (pass gate) passage are to be written down and submitted. This was conveyed by Utsunomiya Yasaburō to Nara Tarōemon.
10th day of the 10th month
Item: On the 24th day of the 11th month, as announced per the attached document, Watanabe Jūrozaemon conveyed that this was to be communicated to each relevant party, and each matter was handled accordingly.
Item: On the 3rd day of the 3rd month of Kansei 3 (the Year of the Boar), when [the lord] passed through the Shichinin-bansho Gate, the Yamazato Gate, and the Ninomaru Kido Gate, because these gates became exterior gates, the attendants of the front retinue (表方御供) were ordered to go around to the outside of the garden-entrance gate (御庭口外木戸御門). However, from this time forward, the route has reverted to the garden interior as before, so each party is to be informed and take note accordingly.
The above instructions were conveyed to the following persons, who were summoned: Shinban officer Imagawa Kichibē, Atsuharu Kinpei, the Omemiyaku (inspection officer) Nakazawa Jinbē, and the Okogashira-shihai (footman supervisor) Ban Jingozaemon. Additionally, the group heads (組頭), rotation duty officers (割月番), and junior heads (小頭) were summoned and informed.
Communicated by letter: Regarding the gate guard at the outside garden-entrance gate (御座所・御裏御庭口外木戸御門番) as ordered in the aforementioned Year of the Boar, the members of the Osakizutsu-gumi (御先筒組, advance arquebus unit) are henceforth relieved of this duty. Accordingly, the guard at the Oku-Yamazato Gate (奥山里御門番) is to be assigned once again to the Osakizutsu members as before; arrangements are to be made so that they commence duty on the morning of the 25th, rotating with the Osugikata personnel. The above is so ordered.
