一、文政四巳年（1821年）
一、十月十五日、毛受作馬が申し聞かせたことには、別紙のとおり諸方面へ触れ回ったので、そのように心得るべき旨を申し聞かせた。
別紙
〇飛脚の際、諸方面への御用状であっても嵩が高くならないようにすること、また江戸留守の面々への宿状も、できる限り嵩を低く仕立てて差し出すこと。なお、通り一遍の文通は無用とすること。この度、道中奉行中より御沙汰のあった事情もあるので、右のとおり達した。心得違いのないようにすること。

〇この度、松平肥前守様と申し合わされ、御両敬のお取り扱いとなった。そのように心得るべき旨。
十一月十六日
一、文政五午年（1822年）
一、四月十五日、別紙のとおり御用人が申し聞かせたので、それぞれに申し渡した。
〇先月二十九日、おすま様が御安産にて御女子様（謹姫様也）がご誕生あそばされた。組支配のある面々は、右の趣を申し聞かせ、頭々へ恐悦を申し上げるよう申し聞かせること。また、公辺へのお届けの儀はしばらく差し延べられる。そのように心得、この儀も申し聞かせること。

〇先だって触れ回ったとおり、飛脚の際、諸方面への御用状であってもできる限り嵩を低く仕立てて差し出すこと。なお、御用物についてはやむを得ない場合もあろう。そのような品については、御用人月番の宅へ出向き、その品を持参して届けること。そのような手続きを経ない品については、たとえ御用物の印があっても返却する。この度、江戸表より申し来たった儀もあるので、改めて申し達した。その意を得られるべし。以上。
四月十八日
右のとおり、渋谷権左衛門が申し聞かせたので、次のとおり添え書きをしたため、十二組小頭共へ申し通すべき旨、月番組小頭へ申し付けた。
〇この度、御用人より別紙のとおり通達があったので、かねてより申し付けておいたことではあるが、なお又組の宿状などを差し出す場合は、厚さ三分に限り、飛脚当日の八つ時（午後二時）までに月番宅まで差し出すこと。また、

Item: On the 15th day of the 10th month, Mōke Sakuma communicated the following: since the matter in the attached document has been circulated to all relevant parties, they are to understand and act accordingly.

〇Regarding the dispatch of post messengers (hikyaku): even in the case of official correspondence (goyōjō) sent to various quarters, it shall not be made bulky; likewise, letters sent to those on standby duty in Edo (rūsho no menmen) shall, as much as possible, be made compact in size. Furthermore, routine correspondence shall henceforth be considered unnecessary. As there has been a directive from the Road Magistrates (Dōchū Bugyō) on this matter, the above is hereby notified. Take care that there are no misunderstandings.

〇On this occasion, an agreement has been reached with Lord Matsudaira Hizen-no-kami, and the matter shall be handled with mutual respect (Ryōkei). Be aware of this accordingly.

Item: On the 15th day of the 4th month, the Goyōnin (official intermediary) communicated the following, which was duly passed on to each party:
〇On the 29th day of last month, Lady Osuma safely delivered a baby girl (known as Lady Kin-hime). Those with organizational responsibilities (kumi shihai) shall communicate this news and convey congratulations (kyōetsu) to their respective superiors. Furthermore, the formal notification to the public authorities (kōben) shall be deferred for the time being. Be aware of this, and communicate it accordingly.

〇As previously circulated, even in the case of official correspondence sent via post messenger to various quarters, it shall be made as compact as possible. However, there may be cases where official items (goyōmono) cannot be made compact. In such cases, the relevant party shall go in person to the residence of the Goyōnin on monthly duty, bringing the item in question to present it. Any item submitted without following this procedure shall be returned, even if it bears the official seal of goyōmono. Since there has been a communication from Edo on this matter, this is hereby formally notified. Please be duly informed. The above.

As the above was communicated by Shibuya Gonzaemon, a covering note was written and the monthly duty (gumi kōtō) squad leader was instructed to pass the following along to the twelve squad leaders (jūni-gumi kogashira):
〇As the Goyōnin has issued the attached notification, while this has already been instructed previously, once again, when submitting residential letters (yadojō) from the squad, they shall be limited to a thickness of three bu (approximately 9mm), and shall be submitted to the monthly duty residence by the hour of the Eight (around 2:00 PM) on the day of the post messenger's departure.
