○江戸表へ書状差出候儀別紙之通可相心得旨高田波門申聞

一御家老中ゟ奉書ニ而恐悦有之節々 上々樣へ 以書状御歓
申上候儀向後不及
其儀候事
一年始暑寒之義ハ是迄之通其余都而御年限中書状差上ニ不
及候事
但不時書状上候儀有之節ハ及通達候事
附御年限中ハ書状連名ニ而指上候事
一身分御礼書状是迄之通ニ候事

○御在府中江戸表へ差立候通飛脚向後暮時限ニ指立候間右
斎限以前ニ御用
状被指出候臨時之御用有之右斎限不被差出節ハ其節々及
通斎候趣可被
相達候且又別紙之通諸向へ相触候間左様相心得候以上

一御用状たり共嵩低ニ相成候様可被相心得候事
一宿状之分用向而已相認成丈嵩低ニ可致事
但嵩高之封物指出候而も受取不申様此度厳重申付候
候間其心得可有之事
一親類格別之続合之外可通候書状可為無用事

一、文政十二丑年（1829年）
〇江戸表へ書状を差し出す件について、別紙の通り心得るべき旨、高田波門より申し聞かされた。
別紙
一、御家老中より奉書をもって恐悦（きょうえつ）がある節々、上々様へ書状をもって御歓びを申し上げる件については、今後その必要には及ばないこと。
一、年始・暑寒（暑中・寒中見舞い）の義については、これまでの通りとし、その余については、すべて御年限中（ご在府中）は書状を差し上げるには及ばないこと。
但し、不時（臨時）に書状を差し上げる必要がある節は、通達に及ぶこと。
附（付記）：御年限中は書状を連名にて差し上げること。
一、身分御礼の書状については、これまでの通りとすること。

〇御在府中（藩主が江戸に在府中）、江戸表へ差し立てる通（定期）飛脚は、今後、暮れ時（夕方）を期限として差し立てるので、右の期限以前に御用状を差し出されること。臨時の御用がある場合で、右の期限までに差し出されない節は、その節々に通達するべき趣を達せられるべきこと。また、別紙の通り諸向きへ触れ知らせたので、そのように心得られること。以上。

一、御用状といえども、嵩（かさ）が低くなるよう心得られるべきこと。
一、宿状（やどじょう）については、用向きのみを書き記し、成るべく嵩を低くすること。
但し、嵩高の封物（ふうもの）を差し出しても受け取らないよう、今回厳重に申し付けたので、その心得があるべきこと。
一、親類・格別の続き合い（縁故関係）の外、通じてよい書状は無用とすること。

1. Bunsei 12, Year of the Ox (1829)
〇 Regarding the matter of sending correspondence to Edo, all parties are to take note as per the attached separate sheet, as conveyed by Takada Hamon.
Separate Sheet
1. On the occasions when the Senior Elders (go-karōchū) send an official letter (hōsho) conveying expressions of reverent congratulation (kyōetsu), the practice of sending a written letter to His Lordship (uebue-sama) to convey congratulations shall henceforth be discontinued.
2. Greetings for the New Year, midsummer, and midwinter shall continue as before; for all other occasions, it shall not be necessary to send letters during the lord's term of residence in Edo (go-nengen-chū).
Provision: Should there be an occasion where it becomes necessary to send an unexpected (extraordinary) letter, a notification shall be issued to that effect.
Addendum: During the lord's term of residence in Edo, letters are to be sent under a joint signature (renmei).
3. Letters of formal congratulation pertaining to one's personal rank and status (mibun o-rei) shall continue as before.

〇 Regarding the regular couriers (tsugi-hikyaku) dispatched to Edo during the lord's residence there (go-zaifuchū): henceforth, these couriers are to depart by dusk (evening). Therefore, official correspondence (go-yōjō) is to be submitted before that deadline. Should there be urgent business and correspondence cannot be submitted by the said deadline, notification shall be given on each such occasion. Furthermore, as the following has been circulated to all relevant parties via the attached separate sheet, please take note accordingly. The above.

Separate Sheet
1. Even in the case of official correspondence, care is to be taken to ensure that the bulk remains low.
2. For lodging letters (yado-jō), only the necessary business is to be written, and the bulk is to be kept as small as possible.
Provision: Bulky sealed packets will not be accepted even if submitted. Strict orders to this effect have been issued on this occasion; please take note accordingly.
3. Letters passed between those outside the circle of relatives and those of particularly close personal connection (enko kankei) are to be considered unnecessary and shall not be permitted.
