Regarding the renovation and extension of the main reception room (*omote-ozashiki*), it has been directed that it shall henceforth be referred to as the "Temporary Audience Chamber" (*kari-o-shoin*).

### Same (In Edo): Exemption of the Inspector (*metsuke*) from Escort Duty During Nearby Fires
The Inspector (*o-metsuke*) had previously been assigned to accompany Lady Shōei-in during her outings in the event of a fire in the vicinity (*chika-bi*). This duty has now been rescinded.

### Same (In Edo): Postponement of the Bridegroom's Visit, Bride's Return Visit, and Father-in-Law's Visit
It has been directed that the bridegroom's visit (*muko-iri*), the bride's return visit and presentation (*sato-hirō*), and the father-in-law's visit (*shūto-iri*) are all to be postponed for this year, and that these ceremonies shall be completed in early spring of the coming year.

### 20th Day of the Same Month: Communication from Shimada Seizaemon
On the 20th day of the same month, Shimada Seizaemon communicated the following: as the wedding ceremonies (*go-konrei*) have been completed successfully, it is appropriate to send a letter of congratulation to the Lady of the House (*go-zen-sama*). Furthermore, the order of recipients among the various ladies (*o-katagata-sama*) is as set out in the attached separate document. Please take note accordingly.
