一 正月十一日、御本丸において御具足の餅披きの御祝儀があった。御座の間において本多孫太郎長員をはじめとする御家老が御相伴を仰せ付けられ、御盃を下され、御前にも召し上げられた。その後、同じ場所において御家老の嫡子・庶子、御奏者番等に餅と御長鮑を御直々に下された。大広間において高知をはじめ寄合から諸物頭、御番組まで、これらの面々の子供等が御餅と御長鮑を自分で頂戴した。その後、与力や諸役人までも同様に頂戴した。
一 同月十三日、御参勤の御時節について御伺いのため、御使者平井牛之丞を江戸表へ派遣し、今日福井を出立した。
一 同月十六日、評定初めにつき、御使者を御膳番として評定所へ御鷹の鴨を下された。
一 同月十八日から同二十二日まで、例の通り御本丸において御祈祷を仰せ付けられた（十八日十九日は玄成院、二十日は大長院、二十一日は松玄院、二十二日は寛祥院）。
一 同月二十一日、加藤兵助殿から申し来たことにつき、御留守居荒川善右衛門正武が罷り出たところ、鉄砲御改めの儀につき左の通り口達があり、証文の形で相渡された。
口達書
一 御領内は所柄物騒であり、百姓が難儀するため用心として、鉄砲で古くから所持してきた分はそのまま差し置くべき筈である。

One: On the 11th day of the first month, a celebration for the opening of the armored rice cakes was held at the main castle. In the formal sitting room, the chief retainers beginning with Honda Magoichiro Nagakazu were ordered to attend as companions, were served sake cups, and were also summoned before his lordship. Afterward, in the same location, rice cakes and long abalone were directly bestowed upon the eldest and younger sons of the chief retainers, and the ceremonial attendants. In the great hall, from the high-ranking officials beginning with Kochi down to the various unit commanders and guard groups, the children of these officials personally received the rice cakes and long abalone. Subsequently, the assistant officials and various functionaries also received them in the same manner.
One: On the 13th day of the same month, messenger Hirai Ushinosuke was dispatched to Edo to inquire about the timing of the lord's attendance at court, departing from Fukui today.
One: On the 16th day of the same month, for the first council meeting, a messenger was sent as a meal attendant to present hawks and ducks to the council chamber.
One: From the 18th to the 22nd day of the same month, prayers were ordered at the main castle as usual (18th-19th at Genseiin, 20th at Daichoin, 21st at Shogenin, 22nd at Kanshoin).
