現代語訳
先日、西の丸御書院番頭並びに蜷川越中守から伺書を差し出した際、御間合（質問）のない条々については御相談もございませんでした。直又三郎へお渡しした内容のうち、かねてより過去の人の明細跡調べを引き継いで調査することになり、ついては同人が調書を作成して差し出し申し上げました。昨日お持ち帰りになって御一覧いただいた際、一覧いたしましたところ、何の意見もございませんので、そのまま返上いたします。お受け取りください。なお、御本丸の同役の方々へお回しいただき、下総殿へお伝えいただいて、御同人から連絡していただくという御心得の件も承知いたしました。
御本丸の老中の方々が一覧される件については、下総殿とご相談の上、適切にお取り計らいくださいますようお願い申し上げます。いずれも急いでのお返事まで、取り急ぎ申し上げます。以上。

Regarding the contents delivered to Nao Matazaburo, we have been continuing the investigation of records left by former personnel, and accordingly, the said person prepared and submitted a report. When you took it back yesterday for your review, upon my examination, I found no particular opinions to offer, so I am returning it directly. Please acknowledge receipt. I have also understood the matter regarding circulating it to colleagues at the Main Citadel and having it communicated to Lord Shimosa, who will handle the coordination.
Regarding the review by the elder councilors of the Main Citadel, I respectfully request that you consult with Lord Shimosa and handle the matter appropriately. This is a hurried response to all matters. The above.
