崎より勢州朝熊嶽など見へ甚だ絶景なり
夫木集 駿河
ほのかにもなほ会ふことを頼みてや
こひの松原しげりそめけん
富士歴覧記 中納言雅康卿
むかしたれ恋の松原まつ人の
つれなきいろに名つけそめけん

也と元暦以前皇大后宮太夫俊成卿当所に住し
玉ひて竹屋、浦形、両庄を開発せしとぞ

幾代かへぬる竹の屋の里

生海鼠ほす袖の寒さよ鳴千鳥
○島嶼（●●）と（●）海水浴（●●●） 三谷町の沖に大島小島仏島
あり竹島は蒲郡に属して弁天あり又形原村海
上に亀岩ありて何れも風景佳良舟に棹し魚を
釣るなど遠近より来りて舟楫の遊びをなす者
甚だ多し特に海岸各地は蒲郡を初め三谷、御
馬、前芝等海水を浴するに適すれが夏期盛暑
の候避暑の遊客群をなす

の困窮に迫りし者村中に頼みて此島へ移り渡
世す薪炭、田圃、魚貝の利ありて必ず其家貧
を免る今尚之を行ふ此辺にて俊成郷【卿】の歌なり

常州布施、野州野尻、三州竹島之を日本七天
女と云ふ、往古俊成卿江州竹生島の竹を此島

恩地左近太郎と共に広石と国府との境にある
猿楽山に来りて猿楽をなし往来の人に見せし

小栗小次郎助重は鎌倉より遁れ来り縁者なる

○島嶼と海水浴 三谷町の沖に大島・小島・仏島があり、竹島は蒲郡に属して弁天がある。また形原村海上に亀岩があって、いずれも風景が良く、舟に棹さして魚を釣るなど、遠近から来て舟遊びをする者が甚だ多い。特に海岸各地は蒲郡をはじめ三谷、御馬、前芝等、海水浴に適しているので、夏期盛暑の候、避暑の遊客が群をなす。
○大島（天日製塩） 三谷に属する。昔から村内の困窮に迫られた者が村中に頼んでこの島へ移り渡世した。薪炭、田圃、魚貝の利益があって必ずその家の貧を免れる。今なおこれを行っている。この辺りで俊成郷【卿】の歌だといって専ら左の歌を伝える。

近年この島において農商務省特許に係る日乾式製塩場（長さ九十間幅二十四間）を開き、頗る好成績を奏しつつある。
○竹島弁天社 当国三弁天の一つである。また相州江の島、芸州厳島、紀州天の川、江州竹生島、常州布施、野州野尻、三州竹島をもって日本七天女という。往古俊成卿が江州竹生島の竹をこの島に移したゆえに竹島というと伝える。
●楠公の猿楽 元享元年楠正成が赤坂城没落後、恩地左近太郎と共に広石と国府との境にある猿楽山に来て猿楽をなし、往来の人に見せて関東の武威を窺ったと伝える。
●小栗判官潜居 小栗判官と照姫と歌われた小栗小次郎助重は鎌倉より逃れ来て、縁者である赤根村の郷士総兵衛のもとに寓居したという。

○Site of Lord Shunzei's Residence The Shaguji Forest in Oe Village is said to be that place. Before the Genryaku era, Imperial Empress Dowager's Master Shunzei lived here and developed the two estates of Takeya and Uragata.

○Islands and Sea Bathing Offshore from Mitani-machi are Ōshima, Kojima, and Hotoke Island. Takeshima belongs to Gamagōri and has a Benzaiten shrine. Also in the sea off Katahara Village is Kame Rock. All have excellent scenery, and many people come from far and near to pole boats and fish, enjoying water excursions. Especially the various coastal areas—beginning with Gamagōri, then Mitani, Omika, Maeshiba, etc.—are suitable for sea bathing, so during the intense heat of summer, crowds of tourists come to escape the heat.
○Ōshima (Solar Salt Production) Belongs to Mitani. Since ancient times, those pressed by poverty in the village have relied on the village community to move to this island and make their living. With the benefits of firewood, charcoal, rice fields, and seafood, they invariably escape their household poverty. This practice continues today. In this area, the following poem is widely transmitted as being by Lord Shunzei:

In recent years, a solar salt production facility (90 ken long, 24 ken wide) under patent from the Ministry of Agriculture and Commerce has been opened on this island, achieving quite good results.
○Takeshima Benzaiten Shrine One of the three Benzaiten shrines of this province. Together with Enoshima in Sagami Province, Itsukushima in Aki Province, Amanogawa in Kii Province, Chikubushima in Ōmi Province, Fuse in Hitachi Province, Nojiri in Shimotsuke Province, and Takeshima in Mikawa Province, these are called the Seven Heavenly Maidens of Japan. It is transmitted that in ancient times Lord Shunzei transplanted bamboo from Chikubushima in Ōmi Province to this island, hence the name Takeshima.
●Kusunoki's Sarugaku In the first year of Genkō (1321), after the fall of Akasaka Castle, Kusunoki Masashige came with Onchi Sakon-tarō to Sarugaku Mountain on the border between Hiroishi and Kōfu, performed sarugaku, showed it to passersby, and spied on the military might of the Kantō, according to tradition.
●Oguri Hangwan's Hidden Residence Oguri Kojirō Sukeshige, who was sung of with Oguri Hangwan and Princess Teruru, fled from Kamakura and took lodging with his relative, the village samurai Sōbei of Akane Village, it is said.
