【黒枠外右】嘉永七年寅年十一月四日辰の下刻（午前9時頃）から大きな地震が始まり、同五日申の刻（午後3時頃）にまた大きな地震があり、その夜戌の刻（午後8時頃）まで四、五度揺れた。【黒枠内タイトル】大阪周辺　東海道　詳細調査大地震津波図【黒枠内上段】大阪一、天王寺清水の藤屋一、塩町の佐野屋橋一、汐津橋近辺一、京町堀三丁目一、粟田戸屋町近辺　合計二十軒ほど一、御池通五丁目四軒　ほど崩れた一、北久太郎町堂池北　家屋二、三軒一、福島五百羅漢一、籠屋町一、難波新地溝　の川一、住吉灯籠六部　通り倒れる一、坐摩宮鳥居一、御霊社井戸・家屋一、天満天神井戸・家屋一、坂慶町堂池南一、玉造二軒茶屋十　軒ほど一、阿弥陀池横門筋この他あちこちに損害があり多数あるが、筆に尽くしがたく省略する【上段右下図】津波の図【上段左】東海道伊勢路志摩国周辺【上段左上】山田　川崎館、岡山田中が大きく損傷　　　両宮（伊勢神宮）は別状なし、二見は　　　大津波が打ち上げた津　　八幡町、糸町、弁天町　　　この辺りは格別厳しく　　　人家、土蔵が大きく損傷した　　　その上津波で浜辺　　　岩田崎辺りまで高波が　　　打ち上げ、人は残らず山手へ　　　逃げ上がり大変であった松阪　船口、川合町、愛宕町　　　この辺りで家が倒れ、平生町　　　湊町、本町この辺りは大　　　損害、倒れた家屋・土蔵は数知れず志摩　大手御門、町家その他とも鳥羽　地震は格別厳しくはなかったが　　　津波で大きく損傷し、また　　　　　浜辺は残らず打ち上げられた【上段左下】宮　　地震は格別厳しく　　　なかったが津波が打ち上げ　　　家屋が損傷したとのこと桑名　四日、五日両度の大地震で　　　家屋・土蔵とも少々　　　損傷し、その上津波で　　　浜辺は大きく損傷した　　　とのこと四日市　右同様、人家三十軒　　　ほど損傷した。しかし　　　今度は格別のことはなかったとのこと庄野・亀山辺りから草津辺りまでは同様とのこと　　大体このような状況右の情報は早飛脚が十一月七日に伝えてきた写し【下段】寅年十一月五日の大地震が続く中、湊口沖から大津波が打ち込み、川口に停泊していた大船・小船とも残らず安治川橋上手へ打ち上げられ、安治川橋・亀橋が流された。大船が帆柱を立てたまま橋より上へ打ち上げられた。道頓堀川では大黒橋まで橋が残らず落ち、大黒橋まで大船・小船とも打ち込まれ、また材木等も沢山打ち上げられた。どの川筋も船並びに材木で押し詰まり、破船等々数知れず。大体見聞きしたところでは、普段停泊の船の九割ほどは破損し、流された人の数はどれほどかわからない。今度の津波の有様は筆紙に書き尽くしがたく、前代未聞の大変事である。その場所へ行って見た人はよく御存じのとおり、人の話というものは五寸ほどのことを一尺にも言うものだが、今度のことに限っては一丈のことが五尺にしか言いようがないほどの出来事で、誠に想像もよらぬ大変事である。浜口図に記した川々に残らず津波が打ち込んだが、町家は流れず、船だけであった。もっとも船は粉々に砕けた。落ちた橋々を左に記す：唐金橋　　高橋　　　　水分橋安治川橋　亀井橋　　黒金橋日吉橋　　汐見橋　　幸橋住吉橋　　大黒橋　　でとまった金屋橋【下段左図】大阪湊口の図
