いつの年月にどのような御役職に就いたかということは分からないが、母の善行の次第は『会津孝子伝』に記載されているので、以下に記す。
石川藤次右衛門の母である倉女は、性格が素直で貞淑であり、義理堅く、幼い頃から前の大守である加藤君の家臣足達氏の妻に仕えていた。寝食の世話をすること十三年間、よく勤めて怠ることがなかったので、主人の婦人は大変あわれみ、この倉女に対する恩恵も深かった。宴席では

今様を歌わせて酒をすすめることもあり、特に厚く寵愛していたということである。ところが足達氏が亡くなり、跡継ぎがいなかったため六千石の家がそのまま断絶してしまった。そのため内室（足達氏の妻）は親戚の方へ引き取られ、ますます不便な身となってしまった。
しかし倉女は決して他に仕え先を求める心もなく、心を込めて仕え続けていたが、後室（足達氏の妻）も病に伏せって程なく亡くなってしまった。そのため倉女の嘆きは言葉では表現できないほどであった。

While it is unclear in what year or month and what official position he held, the details of his mother's virtuous conduct are recorded in the "Aizu Kōshi-den" (Chronicles of Filial Children of Aizu), which I record below.
The mother of Ishikawa Tōjiemon, a woman named Kura, was straightforward and chaste in character, righteous, and from her early childhood served the wife of Adachi, a retainer of the former lord Katō. For thirteen years she faithfully attended to their sleeping and eating needs without negligence, so the master's wife greatly pitied her and showed deep benevolence toward her. At banquets,

she would have her sing imayō songs while serving sake, and particularly favored her with special affection. However, when Adachi died without an heir, his 6,000-koku household line was extinguished. Consequently, the inner wife (Adachi's wife) was taken in by relatives and became even more inconvenienced.
Nevertheless, Kura had no intention of seeking service elsewhere and continued to serve devotedly. However, when the lady of the house also fell ill and died shortly after, Kura's grief was beyond words.
