花の下で美しい景色に見とれて帰ることを忘れるというが、この五冊は、形は図に表し、色は言葉で記している。つつじを植えて鑑賞する人は、花壇に出てこの書をもってその名前と照らし合わせて見れば、散って萎れた後も、なお見どころが多い。四季の趣を催し、心を正直にして邪念なく、自然と仏果の宝種も植えられ、俗世に帰ることを忘れることもあるだろうか。
