いう諸木によいけれど
つつじ、さつきには
特に良い。
また下肥一桶を水桶に入れ、
二十四、五日または三十日程
腐らせ、糞の匂い
がない時、水布で
濾して雨降りに根
元にかける。枝葉に
かからないようにすべし。
雨が降らない時は大毒である。
一尺から二、三尺の木に

一本に一合ほど、そ

に一升程が良い。と
にかく肥料が多ければ
古葉が落ちて、かえって
木の傷みとなる。ただし
二月、八月の頃が良い。
冬月も可、夏月
は悪い。ただ一年に
二度ほどで良い。また
一尺より小さい木は
肥料に及ばず。

For trees one to two or three feet tall,

about one go (small cup) per tree, and
for trees five to seven feet tall, one tree
needs about one sho (larger measure). In
any case, if there is too much fertilizer,
old leaves will fall, and it will actually
damage the tree. However,
around February and August is good.
Winter months are also acceptable, summer months
are bad. Just about twice a year
is sufficient. Also,
trees smaller than one foot
do not need fertilizer.
