現代語訳
挨拶があり、對島守殿が御使いに出た旨を左兵衛佐殿が申し上げた。それから御膳部を残らず引き取り、若年寄衆が退座し、左兵衛佐殿は図の通りお出迎えを申し、直ちに御先立ちをして御退席となった。我等は図の通り控えていた。御三家がそれぞれ御挨拶をされて御退出された。お跡に誰もいないので、守護の心得で御跡から桜之間近辺まで赴いた。

There were greetings, and Lord Sahyoe-no-suke announced that Lord Tsushima-no-kami had come as an envoy. Then all the dining utensils were cleared away, the young elders withdrew, Lord Sahyoe-no-suke performed the farewell greeting as planned, and immediately led the way for their departure. We remained in position as planned. The Three Houses each offered their individual greetings and departed. Since no one remained afterward, with the mindset of standing guard, we proceeded from their former location to the vicinity of the Sakura Room.
