にも上（かみ）を塞（ふさ）ぎそれより病人 数多（あまた）ある
中に近辺に地震より病気の平愈（へいゆう）したる
人もあり是はまさしく気のはりにて

そもそも天地の理が明らかであれば物事に臆することなく、精神が
強ければ事態に驚かないといわれるが、ことわざに
「黒犬に噛まれて灰汁の垂れ糟」とかいう。
二日の大変事は誠に肝胆に徹し、少しのドロドロ（濁り）
にも心を塞ぎ、それより病人が数多ある
中で、近辺に地震により病気が平癒した
人もある。これはまさしく気の張りによるものである。

Although it is said that when the principles of heaven and earth are clear, one is not intimidated by things, and when one's spirit is strong, one is not startled by events, there is a proverb that says "like lye dripping from dregs after being bitten by a black dog."
The great calamity of the second day truly penetrated to the very core of our being, and even the slightest murkiness would cloud our minds. As a result, while there were many sick people, there were also those in the vicinity whose illnesses were cured by the earthquake. This was surely due to the heightening of their vital energy.
