○あるひは七ついれ子を
銀廿一匁にかひ取時に
入子壱つに付六分づゝ
さげて下は何程にあたるといふ〽まつ七を左に置て右の七つをは一つ引
六になして左の七をかくれば六七四十二と成是を二つにわれば廿一となるこれ
に六分をかくれば十二匁六分となる是を右の廿壱匁の内引は八匁四分

『第一』入れ子算の事
○例えば7つの入れ子を銀21匁で買い取る時に、入れ子1つにつき6分ずつ値段が下がっていく場合、一番下（小さいもの）はいくらになるかという問題。
まず7を左に置いて、右の7つからは1つ引いて6にして、左の7をかければ6×7＝42となる。これを2つで割れば21となる。これに6分をかければ12匁6分となる。これを右の21匁から引くと8匁4分が残り、これを7つで割る。

First, place 7 on the left, subtract 1 from the right 7 to make it 6, then multiply by the left 7 to get 6×7=42. Divide this by 2 to get 21. Multiply this by 6 bu to get 12 monme 6 bu. Subtract this from the original 21 monme to get 8 monme 4 bu remaining, which is then divided by 7.
