候処酒井雅楽頭《割書：忠｜恭》殿御渡之御書付左之通御渡有之
唯今迄養子仮養子願被指出 候節近続之内相応
之者無之候間此者相願候与申儀無之候向後右之趣
被相認可被指出候且又近続之内弟甥従弟抔有之
候得共訳有之其者不相願候ハヽ先ゟ断申聞候与歟
或者存寄有之不相願候与歟其訳列旨書付指出候様ニ

一、同日、御登城なされた際（昨二十四日、御用番より御老中連名の切紙が来た）、老中列座の席にて、上屋敷が手狭につき添地を拝領するよう仰せ出された旨、以下の通り書付をもってお達しがあった。

上屋敷が手狭につき、酒井左衛門尉の上屋敷のうち六千六百二十坪余を添地としてお与えになる。
右のお礼のため、西丸へ御登城、それより老中・若年寄中へ御廻勤。
一、六月二十六日、御用番酒井雅楽頭（忠恭）殿よりお呼び出しがあり、御留守居・加藤長右衛門（正敏）が罷り出たところ、東叡山火之番をお免じになる旨、書付をもって申し聞かせられた。
一、同月二十七日、小笠原縫助殿より申し来たり、御留守居・加藤長右衛門（正敏）が罷り出たところ、酒井雅楽頭（忠恭）殿お渡しの書付を以下の通りお渡しになった。
ただ今まで、養子・仮養子の願いを差し出す節、近親のうちに相応の者がいないため、この者を願う、と申すことがなかった。今後は、右の趣を認めて差し出すべきこと。且つまた、近親のうちに弟・甥・従弟などがあったとしても、わけがあってその者を願わない場合は、先方より断りを申し聞かせたのか、あるいは本人に存寄（意向）があって願わないのか、その訳を詳しく書付に書いて差し出すようにすべき旨。

Item: On the same day, upon visiting Edo Castle (a written notice bearing the joint signatures of the Senior Councillors [Rōjū] had arrived from the Duty Councillor [Goyōban] the previous day, the 24th), in the presence of the assembled Senior Councillors, it was announced that, due to the upper residence [kami-yashiki] being too cramped, an additional plot of land would be granted. The notification was delivered in writing as follows:
Matsudaira Hyōbu-no-taifu
As the upper residence is too cramped, more than 6,620 tsubo from within the upper residence of Sakai Saemon-no-jō is hereby granted as additional land.
In gratitude for the above, [the lord] visited the Nishinomaru, and thereafter made courtesy calls to the Senior Councillors and Junior Councillors [Wakadoshiyori].
Item: On the 26th day of the 6th month, there was a summons from Duty Councillor Sakai Uta-no-kami (Tadayuki), and the caretaker magistrate [Rusuī] Katō Chōuemon (Masatoshi) attended. He was informed by written notice that [the lord] was relieved of the fire-watch duty at Tōeizan [Kan'ei-ji Temple in Ueno].
Item: On the 27th day of the same month, word came from Ogasawara Nuisuke, and the caretaker magistrate Katō Chōuemon (Masatoshi) attended. He was presented with the following written notice from Sakai Uta-no-kami (Tadayuki):
Hitherto, when submitting a petition to adopt an heir or provisional heir, [petitioners] have not stated that there is no suitable person among their close relatives and therefore they wish to adopt this particular person. Henceforth, this explanation must be clearly written and submitted. Furthermore, even if there are younger brothers, nephews, cousins, or the like among close relatives, if there is reason not to request adoption of such a person, it must be stated whether the relative in question has previously declined, or whether the petitioner has their own reasons for not wishing to adopt them. The reason must be written out in detail and submitted accordingly.
