且拝領物被 仰付候為御禮江戸表江御書被差出之
一 同日去ル朔日御曲輪内出火ニ付 御機嫌御用江戸表江御書被指出之
一 同月十五日御用番西尾隠岐守《割書：忠｜尚》殿ゟ御呼出御留守居津田九右衛門《割書：盛｜恕》
罷出候処去ル朔日徳川刑部卿《割書：宗｜尹》様御屋敷出火之節三町大消防之
儀褒詞之趣左之通御書付を以被申聞之

人江御留守居津田九右衛門《割書：盛｜恕》申談候処隠岐守殿江内々相伺候上御書
を以御礼被仰上候様申聞之
但御書中ニ難有与ニ者及間敷添之御認被指出候様御指図有之

一、正月十日
大御所様へ慣例通り塩鱈三匹を内々より献上し、若年寄加納遠江守（久通）殿へ
御奏者番大道寺孫九郎（繁郷）より手紙を添えて差し出した
一、同月十二日、昨冬鶴を拝領した御礼として御使者萩野孫右衛門（政斉）が御目見えし、
また拝領物を仰せ付けられた御礼として江戸表へ御書が差し出された
一、同日、去る元日御曲輪内で出火したことについて、御機嫌伺いのため江戸表へ御書が差し出された
一、同月十五日、御用番西尾隠岐守（忠尚）殿より呼び出しがあり、御留守居津田九右衛門（盛恕）が
出向いたところ、去る元日の徳川刑部卿（宗尹）様御屋敷出火の際の消防活動について
褒賞の旨が次の通り御書付をもって申し聞かされた

消火に当たったため大火にもならず、皆精を出したことと思う
一、同日、右同様の際の御褒詞御礼の件について、御老中西尾隠岐守（忠尚）殿の用人へ
御留守居津田九右衛門（盛恕）が相談したところ、隠岐守殿へ内々に伺いを立てた上で
御書をもって御礼を申し上げるよう申し聞かされた
ただし御書の中に「ありがたい」などとは書くべきではないと添えて、
御認めの上差し出すよう御指図があった

Three salted cod were presented to Ōgosho-sama (retired shogun) from private quarters according to custom, and a letter was submitted to Wakadoshiyori Kanō Tōtōmi-no-kami (Hisamichi) through Goshōsha-ban Daidōji Magokurō (Shigesato)
1. On the 12th of the same month, messenger Hagino Magoemon (Masanari) had an audience as thanks for receiving cranes last winter, and a letter was sent to Edo as gratitude for being granted gifts
1. On the same day, regarding the fire that broke out within the castle grounds on New Year's Day, a letter was sent to Edo to inquire about [the shogun's] well-being

On the 15th of the same month, there was a summons from Goyōban Nishio Oki-no-kami (Tadanao), and when Gorusuikari Tsuda Kuemon (Morijo) went to attend, he was informed through a written notice about commendations regarding the firefighting efforts during the fire at Tokugawa Gyōbu-kyō (Muneyoshi)'s mansion on New Year's Day, as follows:

and fought the fire so that it did not become a major conflagration; we believe everyone worked diligently

On the same day, regarding the matter of expressing gratitude for the above commendation, when Gorusuikari Tsuda Kuemon (Morijo) consulted with the retainer of Rōjū Nishio Oki-no-kami (Tadanao), he was told that after privately consulting with Oki-no-kami, gratitude should be expressed through a formal letter
However, there was instruction that words like "grateful" should not be included in the letter, and it should be submitted after proper drafting
