この元本社司職補任は岡本家（経竪）の蔵書である。彼の祖先清茂県主が享保六年の五家改易の際に、不慮にもこれを得たという。私がお願いしてこれを借り受け、新しく写し取って閲覧したところ、職次（職位の順序）にかなりの錯乱があるようである。そこで私は諸書によってその補任の日を勘考し、職次を正した。また補任の日が見当たらないものについては、その父祖や子弟の補任の日をその証拠として考証した。仮に記したとはいえ、恐らく多くの訛謬（誤り）があるであろう。後の人々がこれを批評考証されることを願う。

Direct First Examination and Correction
This original record of shrine priest appointments is from the collection of the Okamoto family (Tsunetate). His ancestor, Kiyoshige Agata-nushi, unexpectedly obtained this document during the dismissal of five families in Kyōhō 6 (1721). I respectfully borrowed it, made a new copy, and upon examination found that there appeared to be considerable disorder in the sequence of positions. Therefore, I consulted various books to investigate the dates of appointments and corrected the sequence of positions. For cases where no appointment dates could be found, I used the appointment dates of fathers, grandfathers, sons, and brothers as evidence for verification. Although I have recorded these tentatively, there are likely many errors. I hope that future generations will critique and examine this work.
General Rules
1. Regarding shrine priest positions, appointments are made through sequential transfer from ujigami priests...
