お願い書面に違反するような仕組みなどがないか調査して願い出るよう仰せ付けられ、畏れ多く早速調査いたしましたところ、右のお願いに違反するような仕組みは致さない旨申し出がありましたので、その段をお願い申し上げておいた次第でございます。しかしながら、どのような仕組みがあるのか聞かれ、いよいよ先日願い出た通り相違ないかもう一度調査して可否を申し出るよう仰せ付けられ、畏れ多く早速福満寺をはじめ講中の者どもを調査いたしましたところ、先日申し上げた通り相違ない旨、別紙願書の通り申し出た次第でございます。つきましては、このところ子供たちが集まって滞在しておりますが、雨天続きで日々食費がかさみ、甚だ迷惑をおかけしておりますので、天気次第で興行をしたい旨申し出るような次第でございます。よって再度調査いたしました運びを書付をもって申し上げます。以上

We were instructed to investigate whether there were any arrangements that might violate the terms of our petition and to submit our application accordingly. We humbly complied and promptly conducted the investigation, whereupon it was reported that no arrangements violating our petition would be made, and we accordingly submitted our request on this matter. However, when asked about what kind of arrangements there might be, we were again instructed to investigate once more whether everything was consistent with our previous petition and to report our findings. We humbly complied and promptly investigated Fukuman Temple and the members of the religious association, and they reported that everything was consistent with what we had previously stated, as indicated in the separate petition document. In this regard, children have been gathering and staying here recently, but due to continuous rainy weather, daily food expenses have been mounting, causing considerable hardship. Therefore, they wish to hold the performance depending on the weather conditions. We hereby report through this written document the results of our second investigation. The above.
