中山王閣下に謹んで返書いたします
お便りを重ねていただき、よって貴藩の家督相続のことをお知らせいただくため承りました。特に使臣豊見城王子を派遣され、方物を献上し、これをもって謝意を表されました。誠意が遠くまで表れ、褒章がますます加わり、誠に幸甚の至りに存じます。
賜り物は別録の通り、使者の帰国に際して添付いたします。その他については全て薩摩中将

We humbly submit this reply to His Excellency the King of Chūzan
Having received your repeated correspondence, we have been informed of the succession matter in your esteemed domain. You have specially dispatched the envoy Prince Tomigusuku, presenting regional products and thereby expressing your gratitude. Your sincere intentions have been manifested from afar, and commendations are increasingly bestowed - this brings us the utmost joy.
The bestowed gifts, as listed in the separate record, are attached upon the envoy's return. All other matters are entirely [handled by] the Satsuma Chūjō
