草チドリ

　大きさは千鳥に似ているがやや小さい。
　嘴は光沢があり、やや長く、淡い黒色。足は
　緑色。頭に一条の筋、目を通る一条の筋が淡い
　黒色。目の上から背にかけて緑色で黒い
　斑点がある。尾も同じ色。喉と腹は白く、翼の
　中央部は灰色で羽に白い縁取りがある。

　千鳥の仲間で、目が黒く
　大きく、その周りは白い。嘴はハトに似て黒く、足は
　栗色の縁取りがある。三本指。頭から背にかけて淡い蒼
　灰色。嘴の根元と額は白く、目から尾にかけて淡い灰色。
　頬と喉は淡い赤色、腹は白く、翼の先端は黒く、尾も
　また黒い。

英語訳

Grass Plover

　In size it resembles the plover but is somewhat smaller.
　The bill is glossy, somewhat long, and pale black. The feet are
　green. There is one stripe on the head and one stripe through the eye that are pale
　black. From above the eye to the back it is green with black
　spots. The tail is the same color. The throat and belly are white, and the
　central part of the wings is gray with white edges on the feathers.
