　龍潭在王宫之北圓覺寺西長不半里寛數十畒水
　渟瀠與圓覺寺前荷池相通瑞泉下流所匯也南岸
　爲神嶽蕉樹攅密不見曦月掩映碧潭岸無餘址北
　岸長隄上蠣牆連墉皆巨族居之跨東西有小橋潛
　渠入田東岸突出尖埠跨潭之中花樹森立三面臨
　水重陽宴爲龍舟戲設坐於此埠之上
　先設木閣於埠上結綵數重氊席四周王揖客坐定
　龍舟三式與福州所見畧同梭長三丈餘槳二十八

現代語訳

重陽宴

龍潭は王宮の北、円覚寺の西にあり、長さは半里にも満たず、広さは数十畝である。水は澄んで流れ、円覚寺前の蓮池と通じており、瑞泉の下流が集まったものである。南岸は神嶽となっており、バショウの木が密生して日月も見えず、碧い潭に影を落としている。岸には他に建物はない。北岸には長い堤があり、その上には石垣が連なって城壁のようになっており、皆大きな一族が住んでいる。東西に小さな橋が架かり、暗渠が田に入っている。東岸には尖った埠頭が突き出て潭の中に張り出し、花や樹木が茂り立ち、三面を水に囲まれている。重陽宴は龍舟戯のために設けられ、この埠頭の上に座を設ける。

まず埠頭の上に木造の楼閣を設け、何重にも彩りを施し、毛氈の敷物を四周に敷く。王が客を案内して座につかせる。龍舟は三つの様式があり、福州で見たものとほぼ同じである。船体の長さは三丈余り、櫂は二十八本である。

Double Ninth Festival Banquet

Ryūtan (Dragon Pond) is located north of the royal palace and west of Engaku-ji Temple. It is less than half a ri in length and spans several dozen bu in width. The water flows clear and connects with the lotus pond in front of Engaku-ji Temple, formed by the confluence of streams flowing down from Zuisen. The southern shore is a sacred peak (kamitake) where banana trees grow densely, blocking out the sun and moon, casting shadows over the emerald pond. There are no other structures along the shore. The northern shore has a long embankment topped with stone walls that form ramparts, where all the great clans reside. Small bridges span east and west, with underground channels leading to the fields. On the eastern shore, a pointed wharf juts out into the middle of the pond, with flowering trees standing thick, surrounded by water on three sides. The Double Ninth Festival banquet is held for the dragon boat performances, with seating arranged on this wharf.

First, a wooden pavilion is erected on the wharf, decorated with multiple layers of colorful ornaments, with felt mats spread around the perimeter. The king escorts the guests to their seats. There are three styles of dragon boats, roughly similar to those seen in Fuzhou. The hull is over three jō in length, with twenty-eight oars.
