一佐那河内水車場所之義者余程山中へ引入居申諸郡之内
里往還程近き水車弁利之場所も相見前書に申上候通
価薄重目運送雑費に引候品柄故水車場所にゟ
実価引立候運方も御坐候様奉存候

本又市中ゟ佐那河内水車場へ持送候駄賃
大綱拾貫目に付壱匁程相懸可申に付
壱貫目に付壱分下直に相当り何角都合候而 は
価聊之品故大に割合下直に相成申義に御坐候
且右場所ゟ油粕を送出候も駄賃同断相懸
夫ゟ三郡筋へ売捌候船運賃相増し
定【＝尚ヵ】又粕前後費之義も御勘考被
仰付度奉存候
一麻植阿波ゟ美馬之舟に至り候而は御山下へ積下候運賃
穀類壱石に付遠近押平し弐匁五分程相懸り候に付
綿実拾貫に六分弐厘五毛積り実壱貫に付六分弐厘之
直違に罷成船場へ持送り浜出尚又佐那河内山分
運賃余程之費も有之郡々に付水車相用候得者
右大費を除小民共ゟ売出候綿実直段引立是全
御国益を育候様奉存候
一農商之傍其職に預候義を相奪候而は本志を
失候得者
商家其御国中農家之用弁を基と仕様奉存候に付

一、佐那河内水車場所の件は、余程山中へ引き入れて居り申す。諸郡の内で
里往還程近き水車便利の場所も相見え、前書に申し上げ候通り、
価薄く重目の運送雑費に引かれ候品柄故、水車場所より
実価引き立て候運び方も御座候様存じ奉り候。

本また市中より佐那河内水車場へ持ち送り候駄賃、
大綱十貫目につき一匁程相懸かり可申につき、
一貫目につき一分下直に相当たり、何角都合候ては
価聊かの品故、大いに割合下直に相成り申すことに御座候。
且つ右場所より油粕を送り出し候も駄賃同断相懸かり、
それより三郡筋へ売り捌き候船運賃相増し、
定めて尚また粕前後費の件も御勘考被
仰せ付け度く存じ奉り候。
一、麻植阿波より美馬の舟に至り候ては、御山下へ積み下し候運賃、
穀類一石につき遠近押し平し二匁五分程相懸かり候につき、
綿実十貫に六分二厘五毛積もり、実一貫につき六分二厘の
直違いに罷成り、船場へ持ち送り浜出し、尚また佐那河内山分
運賃余程の費も有之、郡々につき水車相用い候得ば、
右大費を除き、小民共より売り出し候綿実直段引き立て、これ全く
御国益を育み候様存じ奉り候。
一、農商の傍らその職に預かり候件を相奪い候ては本志を
失い候得ば、

Item 1: Regarding the Sanagochi water mill location, it is situated quite deep in the mountains. Among the various districts, there are also water mill sites conveniently located near village roads. As stated in the previous document, due to the nature of goods with low prices, heavy weight, and transportation miscellaneous expenses, there seems to be a way to raise actual prices from the water mill locations.

Also, the packhorse fees for transporting from the city to the Sanagochi water mill site amount to about one monme per ten kanme by gross weight. This corresponds to one bu lower per kanme, and when various circumstances are considered, since these are items of small value, they become significantly lower in proportion.
Moreover, the same packhorse fees apply when shipping oil cake from that location, and from there, shipping costs increase when selling to the three-district area. I humbly request that you also consider the costs before and after the cake processing.
Item 1: From Oe Awa to Mima by boat, the transportation costs for loading downstream to the mountain base amount to about two monme and five bu per koku of grain, averaging distance. For cotton seeds, this accumulates to six bu, two rin, and five mo per ten kan, resulting in a price difference of six bu and two rin per kan of seeds. When transported to the boat landing and then to the shore, and furthermore considering the considerable costs of transportation in the Sanagochi mountain area, if water mills are used in each district, these major expenses can be eliminated and the price of cotton seeds sold by small farmers can be raised, which would entirely foster the domain's prosperity.
Item 1: If one deprives farmers and merchants of their involvement in their respective trades, they would lose their original purpose. Therefore, I believe that merchant houses should base their operations on serving the needs of farming households throughout the domain.
