一相身体未ゟ廿五年相勤候得は順席始ゟ大御番へ被入候者も同断都合五十年
但祖父ゟ二代目三代目并現身にかきらす年数次第尤役に就而順席に被仰付面々は只今
迄之通或は現身に而も訳有之格別之勤方有之者は右年数に不限其節之御吟味
次第御沙汰可有之候事【以可朱書】但何も年数相満候とも其身之勤方により其節御吟味次第可有御沙汰事

現代語訳
一、御手回りにて御合力銀を下される面々の座列の件について、部屋住みの趣で勤めるべきであるため、年数に関わらず、その父の応座配をこれまで通りの座列のまま差し置くべき事
一、御扶持方を下され部屋住みの趣で勤める者も右に准ずる事
一、御相続について当寅年に松岡侍中でお取り立ての席を御免となった分並びに、この度の御番割について福井御代々でお取り立ての侍中で席を御免となった分、右双方とも現身（本人）は最初にお取り立ての年数、二代・三代目は家督を下された年月次第で割り入れる事
但し知行を下された者は年次第で座列を相定める事

一、御咎めの者の諸通達の件は「御咎め諸事の部」に出ている
一、新番並びにお取り立てからその後大番の順席に仰せ付けられる年数中の左の御定め

覚
一、小役人並びに徒から新番並びにお取り立ての年から十年相勤めれば新番組へ入れられる
一、新番組へ入れられ四十年相勤めれば大御番組へ入れられる（都合五十年）
但し祖父からの二代目並びに現身に限らず右年数次第、もっとも役方あるいは格別の勤め方がある者はその節の御吟味次第で年数を用いずに御沙汰があるべき事。かつまた始めから新番組へ仰せ付けられた者も同断

一、元文元年辰十一月四日、河合豊士・宮塚登門が御小姓に召し出されたことについて、お取り立て席を御免とされたため御小姓支配中へ岡部左膳が申し渡した。但し以来御小姓に仰せ付けられる場合はお取り立て御免の件を相伺いしたところ、御免とするべき旨が仰せ出された
一、相応の身体から二十五年相勤めれば順席、始めから大御番へ入れられた者も同断（都合五十年）

Regarding the seating arrangement of those who receive financial assistance silver (gōryoku-gin) from the lord's personal retinue, since they should serve as dependents living in the family compound (heya-zumi), regardless of years of service, their father's designated seating should remain as it has been until now.

Regarding succession, for those Matsuoka retainers promoted this year of the tiger whose seats were exempted, and those Fukui hereditary retainers whose seats were exempted due to this guard duty assignment: for both groups, the original person (genshin) should be arranged according to the years since their initial promotion, while second and third generation members should be arranged according to the date they received inheritance.
However, those who received land grants should have their seating determined according to years of service.

1. The following regulations concerning the years required from appointment as junior guards (shinban-nami) and promotion, to subsequent appointment to senior guard (ōban) positions in order of precedence:

On the 26th day of the 9th month of Enkyō 5, year of the dragon (i.e., Kan'en 1), at the hour of the monkey (4 PM), court liaisons Sasaji Gen'uemon and Shimada Seizaemon instructed attendance at the warehouse office. When monthly duty officer Nara Genzaemon attended, he was given the following document and told it was provided due to arrangements for new guard units in Edo:
Memorandum
1. Minor officials and foot soldiers (ashigaru) who serve ten years from their promotion to junior guard status are admitted to the new guard unit.
1. Those admitted to the new guard unit who serve forty years are admitted to the senior guard unit (total of fifty years).
However, this applies not only to second-generation descendants and the original appointees, but according to years of service. Naturally, those in official positions or with exceptional service records may receive special consideration based on examination at that time, without regard to years. The same applies to those initially appointed directly to the new guard unit.
1. Those who serve twenty-five years from promotion to senior guard unit achieve appropriate status.
1. On the 4th day of the 11th month of Genbun 1, year of the dragon, when Kawai Toyoshi and Miyatsuka Tomon were summoned as pages (koshō), their promotion seats were exempted and Okabe Sazen made the announcement to the page supervisors. In the future, when appointed as pages, upon inquiry about exempting their promotion status, it was announced that they should be exempted.

However, there is no previous precedent for this.
