一、戊子年に権現様の御神輿を再建することになり、神輿を担ぐ人がいないため混乱が生じました。そこで忠左衛門、市右衛門、権兵衛の三人の仲介により、神主衆六人と宮町衆六人が人足を出し合い、参銭についても当分の間このように取り決めました。もし神輿が重すぎる場合は、神主だけで担ぐということで合意しました。
ところが去年から争いが生じ、今度は訴訟となりました。そこで御代官吉田金右衛門様と町の宿老衆の仲介により、神輿の参銭については皆神主が受け取る代わりに、その代価として六百文を宮町に支払い、また神輿担ぎについては前述の取り決め通り宮町から六人を出すということで合意しました。
この上は、神主衆にどのような恨みがあろうとも、六人の神輿担ぎを出し、その上で宮町中が神輿の巡行に従事します。もし神輿が重すぎる場合は人足を出さなくてもよく、その場合六百文の代価も渡さないものとします。このように取り決めた以上は、互いに違反してはいけません。後日の証拠として一札を記します。

Article: In the year of Boshinoe (1648), when the sacred portable shrine (mikoshi) of Gongen-sama was rebuilt, there were no mikoshi bearers available, causing confusion. Through the mediation of three men - Chūzaemon, Ichiemon, and Gonbei - it was arranged that six shrine priests and six members of Miyamachi would provide laborers, and the matter of participation fees (sanzen) was also settled for the time being. If the sacred palanquin became too heavy, it was agreed that only the shrine priests would carry it.
However, disputes arose from last year, and this time it became a legal matter. Through the mediation of Deputy Magistrate Yoshida Kinemon and the town elders, it was agreed that regarding the mikoshi participation fees, all would be collected by the shrine priests, but in exchange they would pay 600 mon as compensation to Miyamachi. As for mikoshi bearers, Miyamachi would provide six people as previously determined.
From now on, regardless of any grievances the shrine priests may have, six mikoshi bearers must be provided, and furthermore, all of Miyamachi must participate in the mikoshi procession. Should the sacred palanquin become too heavy, laborers need not be provided, and in that case the 600 mon compensation need not be paid either. Now that this has been determined, neither party shall violate this agreement. This document is written as evidence for the future.
