法に二尺を左右におきかくれは四と成 これに

【巻上五十八丁裏】
方法として、二尺を左右に置いて掛けると四となる。これに深さ三尺五寸を掛けて一四となる。これに三三三を掛けると四六六二となる。また昔の枡の法則十六を掛けると七斗四升五合九勺二才と記すべきである。

As the method: placing 2 shaku on the left and right and multiplying gives 4. Multiplying this by the depth of 3 shaku 5 sun gives 14. Multiplying this by 333 gives 4,662. Further multiplying by the old measure formula of 16, one should record it as 7 to 4 shō 5 gō 9 shaku 2 sai.
