葉は藤のようで、花もまた大体似ており、一か所ずつ■【注】なって咲く。花軸は伸びず、中程度の紫色である。七月に花がある。

花は白く車咲きで五弁。葉は茗荷竹のようで、六月に花がある。一名は藪茗荷。本名は和縮砂（わのしゅくしゃ）である。
