一、同日、本多内蔵助（富紹）が近日中に江戸を出立するにつき、御届けのため、御老中・若年寄中へ廻勤し、徳山五兵衛殿が御同道された。

一、同月七日、御用番・本多中務大輔（忠良）殿より御呼び出しがあり、御留守居・津田九右衛門（盛恕）が罷り出たところ、御家老・酒井玄蕃（知喬）の月切駕籠御免の御願いについて、願いの通りに仰せ出され候旨、左の通り書付をもって申し聞かされた。

　　　　　右、月切駕籠の件、願いの通り承知致す。誓詞は半元（はんげん）御目付・中山五郎左衛門宅にて見届けること。

一、五月九日、御着城。（富士川にて一日御滞留のため、御延着となった。）

一、同日、右同断につき、御礼として御使者・高知狛杢（実勝）を江戸表へ差し出された。例の通り、奉書紙・干鯛・鯣・御樽を献上された。杢は今日、福井を出立した。

一、同月十三日、御家老・酒井玄蕃（知喬）が御目付・中山五郎左衛門（時康）殿の宅へ罷り出て、月切駕籠御免の誓詞を取り調えた。

Item: On the same day, as Honda Kuranosuke (Tominori/Tomitsugu) was to depart Edo shortly, notice was duly given by making rounds to the Senior Councillors (rōjū) and Junior Councillors (wakadoshiyori), accompanied by Tokuyama Gobei.

Item: On the seventh day of the same month, a summons was issued by the Duty Councillor Honda Nakatsukasa-no-taifu (Tadayoshi), and the resident representative (rusui) Tsuda Kuemon (Morihiro) duly appeared. He was informed by written notice, as follows, that the petition for senior councillor Sakai Genba (Tomotaka) to use a monthly-term palanquin had been granted as requested:

　　　　The above-mentioned monthly-term palanquin permission is granted as petitioned. The oath of compliance (seishi) shall be witnessed at the residence of the Half-term Inspector (hangen metsuke) Nakayama Gorōzaemon.

Item: On the ninth day of the fifth month, [the lord] arrived at the castle. (Due to a one-day delay from being held over at the Fuji River, the arrival was postponed by one day.)

Item: On the same day, as an expression of gratitude for the above, a messenger, Kōchi Komamoku (Saneyoshi/Jitsukatsu), was dispatched to Edo. As is customary, hōsho paper, dried sea bream (hoshidai), dried squid (surume), and a cask of sake (otaru) were presented. Komamoku departed Fukui this day.

Item: On the thirteenth day of the same month, senior councillor Sakai Genba (Tomotaka) appeared at the residence of Inspector (metsuke) Nakayama Gorōzaemon (Tokiyasu) and completed the oath (seishi) for the monthly-term palanquin permission.
