一喧嘩口論すへからす如何様之意趣遺恨
　有之とも互に堪忍仕へし是非難遁
　儀者罷下候以後其訳可相立事
一町廻り之役人者日々罷出帰宅之節家老
　年寄共江廻り場見分之様子相届尤折々
　直にも可申聞候札場出役之者可為同前
　下目付之者共は毎月三度宛家老年寄共方江
　集り諸侍并足軽中間又ものに至る迄
　御城外におゐて若不作法成筋有之歟
　善悪見聞取沙汰之様子委細有躰に
　申聞へく候差懸り候儀者右定日にかきらす
　其時々可申立事
右之條々堅可相守之此外家老共より
可及沙汰者也

現代語訳

一、喧嘩口論をしてはならない。いかなる意趣遺恨があっても互いに堪忍すべし。どうしても避けられない事情がある者は帰国した後にその理由を申し立てること

一、町廻りの役人は日々出勤し、帰宅の際には家老・年寄衆に巡回場所での見分の様子を報告すること。もちろん折々には直接申し聞かせることもできる。札場出役の者も同様とする。下目付の者共は毎月三度ずつ家老・年寄衆の元に集まり、諸侍並びに足軽・中間・使用人に至るまで、御城外において若し不作法な筋があったか、善悪の見聞や取沙汰の様子を詳細にありのままに申し聞かせること。差し迫った件については右の定日に限らず、その時々に申し立てること

右の条々を堅く守るべし。この他に家老共より指示があるものである。

英語訳

1. Fighting and quarreling are prohibited. Regardless of any grudges or resentments, one must exercise mutual forbearance. Those with unavoidable circumstances may present their reasons after returning to their domain.

1. Officials on town patrol duty shall report daily, and upon returning home, shall report to the senior councillors and elders about the conditions observed at their patrol locations. Of course, they may also report directly from time to time. Those assigned to checkpoint duty shall follow the same procedure. The junior inspectors shall gather at the senior councillors' and elders' residences three times each month to report truthfully and in detail about any improper conduct among all samurai, foot soldiers, servants, and attendants outside the castle, as well as the state of rumors and discussions about good and bad behavior. Urgent matters are not limited to these scheduled dates but should be reported as they arise.

The above articles must be strictly observed. In addition to these, there are matters to be instructed by the senior councillors.
