「そうであれば混雑もし、かつ手数を厌い、かえって施しを控える向きが出来申すかも計り難く候間」
私共御役所へ呼び出し、手銀にて五十両以上施し差し出し候向きは「留守居共」誉め置き、その段申し上げ、
「呼び出し奇特の趣相聞き候段、急度御沙汰の趣、別紙案の通り申し達す」御用達町人共はその支配々へ相達し、武士家来にて金高百両以上施行差し出し候者へは銀子「取り遣わしのため」下され候積もり、内規矩に仕り置き
右金高以上施し差し出し候者は、それぞれ取り調べ、別段相伺い候様仕るべく候。これに依り、先ずこの段

"If that were the case, there would be confusion, and people would avoid the trouble, which might conversely result in restraining relief efforts, though this is difficult to predict."
Those who are summoned to our office and have provided relief of fifty ryo or more in cash shall have their "caretakers" praised, and this matter shall be reported.
"Regarding the summoning and hearing of their virtuous deeds, the urgent official directive shall be communicated as outlined in the separate document." For licensed merchants, this shall be communicated to their respective supervisors. For samurai retainers who have provided relief of one hundred ryo or more, silver shall be "given as reward," and this has been established as an internal regulation.
Those who have provided relief above the aforementioned amount shall each be investigated, and separate inquiries shall be made accordingly. Based on this, first regarding this matter:
For relief provided by temples and shrines or nearby farmers, this shall be communicated to the Temple and Shrine Magistrate and the Finance Magistrate for their information, and shall be so reported.
