妻は西郷源吾近遠の女（美佐）文化6年（1809年）10月1日生まれ
一、文化12年（1815年）11月、親の願い出の通り
初めて御目見えを仰せ付けられた
一、文政4年（1821年）12月、跡式の御知行
400石を相違なく下し置かれ、御家老
付きの外様士を仰せ付けられ、芸術修行のため
諸勤を仰せ付けられない間、小普請料を
差し上げるよう仰せ付けられた
ただし一番組に入れ置かれた
一、同6年（文政6年、1823年）7月、文武の芸に精進し
御定めの格に至ったため、小普請料を
免除され、出勤を仰せ付けられ

1. In November 1815 (Bunka 12), as requested by his father,
he was granted his first audience with the lord
1. In December 1821 (Bunsei 4), he inherited the family stipend
of 400 koku without reduction and was appointed as an outer retainer
attached to the senior councilor. For the purpose of studying the arts,
he was not assigned regular duties and was ordered to
pay kobushin-ryó (maintenance fee for unassigned samurai).
However, he was placed in the first unit.
1. In July of the same 6th year (Bunsei 6, 1823), having devoted himself to literary and martial arts
and having reached the prescribed standard, his kobushin-ryó was
exempted, he was ordered to report for duty, and
began serving guard duty at the castle.
