咽喉門の本陣も非常に動揺した。これを見て延寿丸は精鋭部隊を率いて再び梅毒陣に打ち向かったが、結毒は先日の合戦で重傷を負い、何の役にも立たず、その上兵士たちは日夜逃亡し続けていた。国民の勢いが急に強くなり、悪血・腐肉になっていた者も正血・正肉となり、降参していた者も急に命令に従わなくなった。その上新手の薬兵が攻めて来るのを見て、今はもうこれまでだと、落ち残った小賊を集めて最後の酒盛りをなし、その後本陣に火をかけ、自ら首を跳ねて一騎も残らず焼死した。延寿丸は火の手を見るやいなや急いで駆けつけ、火炎を消し、焼け残った賊将の首を取り、なお近辺に隠れていた残賊を駆り出して尽く打ち取り、咽喉道を完全に平定した後、諸軍を率いて本陣に帰った。淳直は再度の功を賞し、今は凱

陣すべきだと全軍をまとめて隊列を整え、王城へ帰還した。国王はこのことを聞くや遠く郭外に迎えに出て、連れ立って都城に帰り、淳直並びに諸大将に多くの金宝を贈り、大いに宴を設けて凱陣の儀式を行った。これより先、次の属国より俱生神が来て「彼の国の賊徒は強いので、まず勇名の高い延寿丸を派遣してください。元帥は当国平定の後にお入りください」と再三乞うたので、淳直もやむを得ずその願いに応じて、ここからすぐに延寿丸に精鋭兵千余騎を与えて先立って彼の国に向かわせ、自分は諸将とともに逗留し、国王を諭して乱後治世の術を論じ、しばらく日数を送った。

The people's strength suddenly grew powerful, and those who had become bad blood and putrid flesh became proper blood and proper flesh, while those who had surrendered suddenly refused to obey orders. When the king heard this news, he went far out beyond the outer walls to welcome them, and they returned together to the capital city. He presented Junchoku and the various generals with much gold and treasure, held a great banquet and performed the ceremony of triumphal return. Before this, Kushōjin had come from the next tributary state, saying "The bandit forces in that country are strong, so please first dispatch Enjugan, who has such a high reputation for valor. The marshal should enter after pacifying this country," pleading repeatedly. Junchoku had no choice but to agree to this request, and from here immediately gave Enjugan over a thousand elite cavalry and sent him ahead to that country, while he himself remained with the various generals, instructing the king and discussing the arts of governance after rebellion, spending some time there.
