一四日の夜はけしくふきいてたり火石の烟にま
しりたるは手鞠のとふかことくにて山の上より五拾
丈あまりもふきあけて地上は砂ふること雨の如し
碓氷郡群馬馬【「郡」の誤記か】およひ武州榛沢【澤】郡児玉郡なとは
白昼も夜のことく人家は行燈を照らし旅人は提
灯をとりて往来せり
一五日の朝より関八州はまうすにおよはす信州加賀

寸五分よりなかきと壱尺もありしといふ

しとてたゝ火石のふることをのみ案して人々土蔵や
いわあななとへかくれゐたり

三十軒ほど火石が降って焼失した。近い一帯の
野山の様子は青い葉もなくて、まるで冬の面影
である。
一、四日の夜は激しく噴き出していた。火石の煙に
混じったものは手毬ほどの大きさで、山の上より五十
丈余りも噴き上げて、地上は砂が降ること雨のようである。
碓氷郡・群馬郡および武州榛沢郡・児玉郡などは
白昼も夜のようで、人家は行燈を灯し、旅人は提
灯を持って往来した。
一、五日の朝より関八州は言うまでもなく、信州・加賀

能登・越中・出羽・奥州・越後までも白い毛が降った。その長さ三
寸五分より長いもので一尺もあったという。
一、七日は山が鳴ることが強く、天地も振動するほどで、
人家の戸・障子までもがたがたと響いて、いかにも恐ろ
しい有様である。山の北側が崩れて石留めまで
三度も押し流した。鎌原郡では先年（慶安三年
の噴火で
あろう）の石留めがあるので、それより下へ押し流すことはない
だろうということで、ただ火石が降ることのみを心配して、人々は土蔵や
岩穴などへ隠れていた。
一、七日の暮れより黒煙が起こって、近い一帯の山々
