英語訳
One item: The tatami mats for the foot-of-staircase area shall be set in place by the jinin (shrine servants) on the day of the ceremony.
**Fifth Day**
One item: One person shall be sent from the left-side (hidari-kata) foot-of-staircase group to the chief priest (kannushi) for the katari-ai (ritual greeting/coordination). (Dressed in formal kamishimo attire, accompanied by a servant.) They are to go to receive the roku-kinu (gift silk, for both left and right sides). The return presentation (henben) shall be made by the right side (migi-kata) on behalf of both left and right.
One item: Immediately after the morning meal, eight hoko (halberds/ritual poles) shall be erected by the jinin under the direction (gechī) of the right-side foot-of-staircase group.
Note: This year, take special care to communicate thoroughly with the caterer (賄い) of the chōya (official hall). Bring the fukichirashi (decorative scattering ornaments).
Locations for erection:
Cherry tree from which horses emerge (uma-deru sakura): 1 tree
Strategy-strike cherry tree (saku-uchi sakura): 1 tree
Maple tree (kaede-ki): 1 tree
Within the lawn of the tongu (temporary shrine): 5 trees
(Note: Leave a slight gap between the upper three and the lower two.)
One item: After the morning meal, dispatch one jinin to the sakadono (sake hall/brewing hall) to summon someone. Place the two sashifuda (authorization permits) received from the Shoshidai (Deputy Governor's office) onto two wooden tablets (kataki) and proceed into the gate of the twenty nori-jiri (mounted attendants). Instruct them to report to the nenpei-kata (annual duty officers) stating that they have come to announce their arrival. Once the business is concluded, instruct them to return. The permits will be needed later for the uma-tate (horse-tethering area). The remainder shall be returned to the Shoshidai.
One item: The person in charge of catering for the chōya (official hall), accompanied by one servant, shall receive the key to the chōya from the Shoshi-daibu (head administrator of the Shoshidai office). Open the chōya; open both the upper and lower shitomi (latticed shutters/screens) above the kiriita (partition board); below the kiriita, hang curtains, and if there are any remaining, open the two-ken-wide entrance. Send someone to the shrine precincts (sha-tō) to fetch two panels of silk curtain (kinu-maku) and one panel of white curtain (shiro-maku). Hang the two silk curtain panels along the south veranda (minami-en-gawa). The one white curtain panel is for the kitchen/catering area (makanai-sho).
