同日、燭を灯す頃（夕刻）になり、早々に本日用意しておいた品々一式を庁屋へ運び込んだ。出頭した者二人（完顕氏・都参勤、それぞれ浄衣着用）が所司大夫より庁屋の鍵を受け取り、庁屋の切板より上の蔀（しとみ）を上下ともに取り外し、燈を五か所に灯した。その場所は、北方の母屋の座の第二の柱・第三の柱、南方の第二の柱・第三の柱・第五の柱である。神人を召し寄せ、設営させた。

At dusk on the same day, the items prepared for the day were promptly transported to the Chōya (administrative hall). Two persons who appeared [Kannken-shi and Miyako-sankin, each wearing purified robes (jōe)] received the key to the Chōya from the Shoshi-Dayū, removed both the upper and lower latticed shutters (shitomi) above the cut-boards (kiriban) of the Chōya, and lit lamps at five locations. These locations were: the second and third pillars of the northern main hall seating area, and the second, third, and fifth pillars of the southern side. The shrine servants (jinnin) were summoned and directed to make the necessary arrangements.
