昨子秋已来山城谷漆仕入之義に付紀伊国屋
徳兵衛毎事私方江罷出右漆買入銀主相勤
呉候様申来候得共私義者漆之義甚不案内ニ付
善悪一向に相分り不申幷高金入用之品に候得者
私躰之者ニ而ハ中々難相行ニ付断申入候処又々
重々入割何れ當年之処初テ之事故少々成共
為試山方江罷出相調候様入割に及何れ試之
金子弐三拾両程之処相調上方江積送り試
可申と申ニ付相談仕右之趣徳兵衛方ゟ
御役所様江申上候処何れ為試少々相調候段
可然様被 仰付則山方江御配御状被為 仰付

昨年秋以来、山城谷の漆仕入れの件について、紀伊国屋徳兵衛が何かにつけて私のところへ参り、右の漆買い入れの資金提供者を務めてくれるよう申してまいりましたが、私は漆の件については甚だ不案内のため、良し悪しが全く分からず、また高額な費用を要する品物であれば、私のような者では到底行うことができないので、お断り申し入れましたところ、再三にわたり懇願され、いずれにしても今年のところは初めてのことゆえ、少しでも試しのため山へ参り調達するよう懇願に及び、いずれにしても試しの資金二、三十両程度のところを調達し、上方へ積み送って試してみようと申すので、相談いたし、右の趣旨を徳兵衛の方から御役所様へ申し上げましたところ、いずれにしても試しのため少々調達する段は然るべきように仰せ付けられ、すぐに山の方へ御配御状を仰せ付けられた旨申してまいりました。右のような相談をいたしましたが、差し当たって臨時の入用等があるかと存じ、用意金とも都合百両程度持たせ、昨年九月六日に山城谷へ出立いたし参り、早速彼の地の深川源兵衛の方へ参り、右の趣旨について掛け合いいたしましたところ、手元での相談とは相違し、年貢諸上納物に引き当てて右の漆を多く所持しており、少々の買い入れでは

However, since I am completely unfamiliar with lacquer matters, I cannot distinguish between good and bad quality at all.
