現代語訳
急に死去したため、これにより五番右の乗り尻（騎手）右衛門佐季憲と
六番右の乗り尻播磨守季品、この両人も急な故障となった。
《割書：共に従兄弟である》故に議論があり、乗り尻が差し替えられた。五番右は右近
将監兼棟、六番右は佐渡守山顕である。この両人は浄衣を
着て勤めを相務めた。

Due to sudden death, the riders (jockeys) for the fifth race right, Uemon-no-suke Sukenori, and
the sixth race right, Harima-no-kami Sueshina, both also suffered sudden mishaps.
《Marginal note: Both are cousins》Therefore there was discussion and the riders were replaced. The fifth race right was Ukon-
no-shōgen Kanemune, and the sixth race right was Sado-no-kami Yamatoaki. Both of these men wore purification robes
and performed their duties.
