女使も命婦蔵人はかきのこし
つ斎院おはしますおりは禊斎
弁一条の大路をわたり典侍神
館にまいりて紫野のかへり
あそひなともありしかは祭の
儀式もはへ〳〵しかりしを元久
のゝちはそのあとひさしく絶た
り諸宮のつかひもなきとしに
てさひしきやうなりしかとも
　大明神の霊威を顕して
　　いよ〳〵敬神のこゝろを
　　　　　　すゝめむかため

女使も命婦、蔵人は書き残してしまった。斎院がいらっしゃる時は禊斎で、弁が一条大路を渡り、典侍が神館に参って紫野からの帰りの遊びなどもあったので、祭の儀式も華やかであったが、元久の後はその跡が久しく絶えてしまった。諸宮の使いもない年になって寂しい様子になってしまったけれども、

大明神の霊威を顕して
いよいよ敬神の心を
　　　　　　　進めようとするため
　　　　　　　　　　　　　である

見る人は決して
　　　　　軽んじることが
　　　あってはならないと
　　　　　　　　　　申す

The female messengers, including the myōbu court ladies and kurōdo chamberlains, were omitted from the record. When the Saiin (High Priestess) was present, there were purification rituals, with the ben (controller) crossing Ichijō Avenue, the tenji (court lady) visiting the shrine, and entertainment on the return from Murasaki-no. Because of such activities, the festival ceremonies were splendid, but after the Genkyū era, these traditions were discontinued for a long time.
