○諸所の御廻米御締り方の件は、前々から御定めの通りもあり厳重に相守るべき筈のところ、心得違いの者もあるのか、近来大坂廻船米の御蔵入の際、目減りが多く、それぞれ込米をして弁納している趣が追々聞こえてくることについて、既に去夏一番廻船の分は目減りが薄く、船方の者の心配も行き届いている趣に見えたところ、その後の廻船の分でまた々目減りが多く、込米等を過分に弁納している者もある趣である。畢竟船方のためにもならず、また上においては目減りだけ弁納で済ませても、第一俵振りが悪くなり、御払い入札の節に過分の御不益の筋があることを相糺すべき事である。
よって当春から出役の者の取扱方をなお又厳重に仰せ付けられる筈であるので、船方一統締り方を申し談じて厚く心配するよう申し付けるべきである。しかしながら心得違いの者がある場合は、急度御沙汰に及ぶべき旨仰せ出されるので、その段を申し渡すべきである。

○Regarding the control of rice shipments to various locations: Although there have been established regulations from long ago that should be strictly observed, perhaps due to some having incorrect understanding, recently during the storage of Osaka-bound rice ships, there have been frequent reports of excessive weight loss, with each party compensating by adding extra rice. Last summer's first shipment showed minimal weight loss and the shipping agents appeared to be taking proper care. However, subsequent shipments again showed excessive weight loss, with some parties making excessive compensation with additional rice. This ultimately does not benefit the shipping agents, and moreover, even if weight loss is compensated for, the primary concern is that the quality of rice bales deteriorates, causing excessive losses during official auctions, which must be investigated.
Therefore, from this spring onward, the handling by duty personnel shall be ordered to be even more strict, so shipping agents shall be instructed to consult together and take greater care in control methods. However, if there are those with incorrect understanding, they shall immediately be subject to official censure. This has been ordered, so this matter shall be communicated.
