【口上】

小梁川の苗跡（跡継ぎの家督）を私が相続した際、野手崎の下中（小作人・従属民）の者たちが抱地（預かり地）を願い出たので、これを許可して預け置いておりましたところ、年貢が課せられることになりました。下中の者たちも困窮している者が多くございますので、今後も引き続きお取り立ていただき、そちらにてお役に立てていただければと存じます。修理殿もご不自由をおかけするかもしれませんが、右の懸金（課せられた金）の中からお遣わしくださいますよう申し上げたく存じます。

**Formal Statement (Kōjō)**

When I succeeded to the Koyanagawa family headship (myōato), the lower-ranking dependents (shimochū) of Notezaki petitioned to be entrusted with the land holdings (kakaechи), and I granted their request, allowing them to retain custody of the land. However, it has come to pass that annual tribute (nengu) is now being levied upon this land. As many among the shimochū are in financial hardship, I would ask that you continue to oversee and make use of them in your service. As this arrangement may also cause inconvenience to Lord Shuri, I wish to request that the necessary amount be sent from within the aforementioned assessed funds (kakarikin).
